SAN DIEGO - No. 3 Stanford women’s swimming opened the 2025-26 campaign with a second-place finish at the UCSD Triton Invitational, totaling 898.5 points across the two-day meet.
The Cardinal trailed only No. 5 California, which won the meet with 1,202 points, while UC San Diego (619.5), Hawai‘i (517) and UC Santa Barbara (454) rounded out the field.
Torri Huske led the way for Stanford with three individual victories, winning the 50 free in 22.06 seconds on Friday before adding titles in the 200 free (1:44.45) and 100 free (48.34) on Saturday.
Caroline Bricker collected runner-up finishes in each of her individual events, placing second in the 200 fly (1:57.97), 400 IM (4:15.26) and 200 breast (2:13.31). Lucy Thomas also earned silver in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.12.
Lucy Bell added a pair of third-place finishes in both butterfly events, touching in 1:58.30 in the 200 fly and 53.35 in the 100 fly, while Bailey O’Regan clocked a 17:08.78 in the 1650 free to earn the event bronze. Levenia Sim also added a third-place finish of her own in the 100 backstroke (54.42) and was Stanford’s top finisher in the 200 back with a 1:59.44 swim.
Freshmen Addie Robillard and Annam Olasewere each impressed in their first collegiate meets, both earning podium finishes. Robillard placed third in the 200 breaststroke (2:14.05) and added a fifth-place effort in the 100 breast (1:02.23), while Olasewere swam a 22.91 to finish third in the 50 free. Fellow classmate Ella Jablonski also earned a top-five finish, posting a 2:02.35 in the 200 IM.
Emily Thompson recorded a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 200 IM (2:01.86) and 400 IM (4:20.91), while Kayla Wilson and Sophie Duncan rounded out Stanford’s top-five individual finishers with fifth-place showings in the 200 free (1:49.63) and 1650 free (17:16.08), respectively.
Stanford’s relays also impressed, highlighted by a 200 medley relay win from the quartet of Alana Berlin, Thomas, Huske and Olasewere, who combined for a first-place time of 1:36.50. The Cardinal capped the meet with a runner-up finish in the 200 free relay, as Olasewere, Huske, Gigi Johnson and Thomas posted a 1:30.66.
Stanford resumes action on October 24, hosting the first leg of a two-day tri-meet with Arizona State and California at Avery Aquatic Center.
