Final Fall Tournament Begins Monday

Defending Nanea Invitational champs return to Hawaii

  • Back at the top spot in the most recent Clippd rankings, Stanford women’s golf returns to Nanea Golf Club for the Nanea Invitational.
  • Nanea Golf Club plays as a par-73 and is 6,449 yards.
  • This is the final tournament of the fall for Stanford…the Cardinal will not compete again until February.
  • Stanford joins four other ranked teams in the field this week: No. 6 Auburn, No. 10 Texas, No. 17 UCLA, and No. 21 Arizona State.
  • The Cardinal enters as the defending champions of the Nanea Invitational, shooting 26-under as a team last year and beating Arizona State by nine strokes.
  • Not only did Stanford win the Nanea Invitational last year, but Megha Ganne won the individual title, her second career win. She beat teammate Meja Örtengren by one stroke, shooting 9-under. Ganne birdied on her final hole, securing the victory.
  • Ganne enters as the hottest golfer in Stanford’s lineup after her win at the Stanford Intercollegiate last weekend. She finished at 10-under (203) and, like her win at Nanea in 2024, needed to birdie her final hole to win.
    • Her third tournament win ties her with Stephanie Keever for career wins, becoming one of eight Cardinal with at least three individual victories.
  • Stanford cruised to a victory at its home tournament, setting the Stanford Golf Course women’s team record of 817 (-35). It is the third-best team tournament score in program history.
  • Sending all nine student-athletes in the field, six finished in the top 12 and four finished in the top 10.
  • The Stanford lineup is as follows: Megha Ganne, Paula Martín Sampedro, Andrea Revuelta, Meja Örtengren, and Kelly Xu. Nora Sundberg, Anna Song, Kaila Elsayegh, and Leigh Chien are competing as individuals.
