The Opening Kickoff
- Stanford football begins the month of November inside Stanford Stadium against Pittsburgh, with a 12:30 p.m. kickoff on ACC Network.
- Three of the final four regular-season games for the Cardinal are at home, where Stanford is 3-0 and has won four straight games going back to 2024.
- Stanford held its own for the first 30 minutes against No. 9 Miami on Oct. 25. The Cardinal scored first and went into the locker room with the score tied at 7-7, holding Miami to its fewest first-half points since 2023. Despite the strong start defensively, Stanford ultimately lost to Miami 42-7.
- The Cardinal has been decisively better at Stanford Stadium than on the road in 2025. The offense is averaging 138 more yards per game at home than on the road, and in three home games, Stanford has scored 80 points, compared to just 60 in five games away from home.
- Stanford has won four straight home games dating back to the 2024 home finale against then-No. 22/19 Louisville. A win against Pittsburgh would give Stanford its first 4-0 start at home in a season since 2017.
- Stanford's defense has allowed the third-most trips to the red zone of any team in the country (41), but is 14th in opponents' red zone touchdown percentage (46.3%). That mark is fourth in the ACC.
- The last time Stanford and Pittsburgh played, the Cardinal defeated the Panthers 14-13 in the 2018 Sun Bowl, Stanford's last bowl game appearance. Cameron Scarlett scored two touchdowns, including recovering a fumble in the end zone, to give Stanford all the offense it needed.
- As the season enters the final month, Stanford has multiple players among some of the leaders in the ACC. CJ Williams ranks fifth in receptions (41), Sam Roush is fifth among tight ends in receptions (29), and Matt Rose is third in tackles (68).
- While Stanford has only played one team that has been ranked in the top 25 at the time of the game, Stanford has played the toughest schedule to date in the ACC, according to ESPN's Strength of Schedule index. Stanford's five losses come to teams who are a combined 32-7, with three of those teams (Miami, BYU, Virginia) ranked in the top 15 entering Week 10.
