STANFORD, Calif. - Fresh off winning the Big Splash win on Saturday, the No. 3 Cardinal is kicking off the team's postseason run at home with this weekend's MPSF Championship on The Farm. Stanford finished the regular season 15-6, and 2-4 in MPSF play to enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed.

The Card opens the competition against either Augustana or Washington & Jefferson on Friday at 5:30 p.m. PT. The two MPSF East schools will square off Friday at 11:00 a.m. PT.


MPSF HISTORY » Stanford has finished third in the last two MPSF Championship tournaments. The Card's last tournament championship was 2019, when the team went on to win the NCAA Championship and finish 21-2 overall. The Cardinal entered the 2025 season picked third in the MPSF coaches poll, and third in the ACWPA poll.

MPSF HONORS » The Cardinal landed six on All-MPSF teams this week, with Alex Gheorghe, Gianpiero Di Martire and West Temkin earning First Team honors. Botond Balogh earned second-team honors, while Will Schneider and Ben Forer earned honorable mention.

BIG TIME BALOGH » Balogh has been dominant offensively, leading the team in points (98) and goals (62) while sitting just behind Forer for the assists lead (36).

DYNAMIC DUO » The duo of Balogh and Forer has been the best goal-producing pair in the MPSF – no other combination has combined for as many points (192). Balogh's 62 goals and 98 points are both the second-most in the MPSF West, and Forer's 42 assists are the third-most in the MPSF West.

STUD CENTERS » Cardinal centers have been a nightmare for opponents, with Schneider and Gheorghe combining for 101 exclusions drawn. Schneider's total is good for the third-most in the MPSF West, while Gheorghe's is good for sixth-best.

VETERAN IN THE CAGE »  Temkin has been a force this season, tied for the MPSF lead in saves with 185.

IMMEDIATE IMPACT » Di Martire has made a strong introduction after transferring to The Farm this season, third on the team in points with 85 and second on the team with 51 goals.
