STANFORD, Calif. – The Cardinal’s first season in the newly-built Stanford Softball Stadium is set. Stanford announced the 2026 season schedule today, which features four home tournaments and 34 games in the state-of-the-art home for Card softball.
Stanford squares off against six teams that finished 2025 in the top 25 of the NFCA Coaches Poll, including the reigning NCAA Champion Texas Longhorn.
After a sixth-straight postseason trip in 2025, Stanford opens the season with the Stanford Invitational from Feb. 5-8, hosting Oklahoma State, San Jose State and California. The Card follows up the opening weekend with the Cardinal Classic I from Feb. 12-15, hosting Kentucky, Oregon, Cal State Fullerton and Cal Poly.
Then from Feb. 19-22, Stanford hosts Texas, as well as Arizona, Boise State and Santa Clara at the DeMarini Invitational. The Cardinal’s final tournament of the year features Washington and Saint Mary’s at the Cardinal Classic II from April 2-4.
Stanford’s ACC slate features home bouts with Pitt (March 6-8), Notre Dame (March 13-15), Florida State (April 10-12) and NC State (April 17-19). The Card goes on the road to square off with Louisville (Feb. 27-March 1), North Carolina (March 20-22), Duke (March 27-29) and California (April 24-26).
The Cardinal will compete in five mid-week games, venturing to East Carolina (March 26), UC Davis (April 7), Fresno State (April 15) and Santa Clara (April 22) before ending the season at home against Pacific (April 29) and Sacramento State (May 1).
