ATLANTA - Torri Huske secured No. 2 Stanford's first swimming conference title of the week, highlighting the Cardnal's fourth day at the 2026 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday evening.
Huske defended her 200 individual medley crown by edging out Louisville's Anastasia Gorbenko in a dead heat to the finish, clocking a season-best 1:51.27 to win by .003 seconds. Despite the narrow result, Huske never trailed in the "A" final, securing an early lead with a 23.19 butterfly split and holding off the field down the stretch with a 27.18 freestyle lap.
The Arlington, Va., native is now a four-time ACC champion after victories in the 200 IM, 100 fly, and 200 medley relay a season ago, moving her career total to 17 conference crowns after winning 14 titles under the Pac-12 banner.
Torri Huske also helped Stanford get off to a strong start on the evening, swimming the second leg of the Cardinal’s runner-up 200 freestyle relay, clocking a program-record 1:25.14 alongside Annam Olasewere, Gigi Johnson, and Lucy Thomas. It marked the second time this season the quartet has broken the school record in the event, previously posting a 1:25.30 at the Texas Swimming Invitational earlier this year.
Olasewere posted a new lifetime best in her first individual ACC final, sprinting to a fourth-place finish in the 50 freestyle in 21.46 seconds. That swim cements her spot with the No. 3 fastest time in program history.
Emily Thompson (1:56.16) and Charlotte Hook (1:56.28) both reached the "B" final of the 200 IM, finishing 12th and 14th, respectively, while Levenia Sim earned a second swim to finish 23rd overall.
Natalie Mannion was Stanford's fastest swimmer in the 500 free prelims before ultimately finishing 16th overall, while Bailey O'Regan (4:42.74) and Kayla Wilson (4:44.11) finished 2-3 in the "C" final. Lucy Thomas also reached the "C" final in the 50 free, finishing 21st with a 22.43.
Past the halfway mark of the ACC Championships, Stanford sits third in the team standings with 433 points, behind Virginia (497) and California (454). Competition resumes tomorrow with the 400 IM, 100 Fly, and 200 Free. Prelims begin at 6:30 a.m. PT, followed by the finals at 2:30 p.m. PT on ACC Network Extra.
