- Top-ranked Stanford women’s golf competes in Southern California at the Bruin Wave Invitational, co-hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine, on Feb. 23-24.
- The Bruin Wave Invitational will be played at Valencia Country Club. It plays at 6,328 yards as a par-72.
- Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. both days, with the first 36 holes played on Monday and the final round on Tuesday.
- Stanford is one of three teams in the latest Scoreboard Top-25: No. 12 Pepperdine and No. 14 UCLA.
- The last time Stanford won the Bruin Wave Invitational was 2019. The Cardinal also won in 2017. The last team to finish under par in this event was UCLA in 2020 (-3). No Stanford individual has ever won the Bruin Wave Invitational.
- Stanford won its first event of the spring season by 35 strokes at the Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate. The victory tied the largest margin of victory in Stanford team history.
- The Cardinal won in the desert despite having Andrea Revuelta, the individual tournament champion, compete as an individual.
- Revuelta finished 11-under for the tournament (205), including a 6-under 66 in the opening round. Paula Martín Sampedro (-7, 209) finished second, Meja Örtengren (-5, 211) took fourth, while Anna Song (-3, 213) tied for fifth, her first collegiate top-five finish.
- It was the third collegiate win for Revuelta, becoming the sixth Cardinal to win three tournaments prior to the end of her sophomore season. It was the third individual win for Stanford during the 2025-26 season (Megha Ganne – Stanford Invitational, Meja Örtengren – Nanea Invitational).
- Stanford has four golfers currently in the top-five of the World Amateur Golf Rankings: Paula Martín Sampedro (2), Andrea Revuelta (3), Meja Örtengren (4), and Megha Ganne (5). Kelly Xu sits just outside the top-20 at No. 21.
- Prior to the start of the spring season, five current Cardinal and one future Cardinal were selected to compete in the 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Megha Ganne, Paula Martín Sampedro, Meja Örtengren, Andrea Revuelta, and Kelly Xu will all head to Augusta on April 1-4 to compete in the prestigious amateur event. Nikki Oh, who signed with Stanford in November, is also scheduled to compete.
- Stanford’s lineup is as follows: Andrea Revuelta, Paula Martín Sampedro, Meja Örtengren, Anna Song, Kelly Xu. Leigh Chien and Kaila Elsayegh are competing as individuals.
