STANFORD, Calif. – Five players scored in double figures and Stanford won its second consecutive game with an 87-57 victory over visiting SMU on Thursday night.

Lara Somfai tied a career high with 19 points, Courtney Ogden scored 15, Hailee Swain had 14, Nunu Agara added 13 and Chloe Clardy put in 12. The win was the Cardinal’s first 30-point victory in a conference game since beating California 84-49 on Feb. 16, 2024 when both schools were in the Pac-12.

Stanford jumped on the Mustangs early, outscoring the visitors 31-6 in the first quarter. The 31 points were the most the Cardinal has scored in any quarter this season and the six points allowed were the fewest it has surrendered to an opponent in any period.

Stanford was 14-of-20 from the floor in the first and led by Swain, who scored 10 on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting. The freshmen made her first seven shots in the game before her first miss midway through the third quarter.

All 13 players available for the Cardinal saw action. Nora Ezike scored four, including two off a nice backdoor feed from Carly Amborn in the final quarter. Amborn herself hit a late 3-pointer off a pass from Ezike.

Stanford totaled 18 assists from 10 different players and shot 54.0 percent (34-of-63), its third-best mark of the season and best in ACC play.

The Cardinal closes out its regular season at home on Sunday when it hosts Clemson at 11 a.m. on The CW. Before the game, Stanford seniors Lauren Green, Talana Lepolo and Stavi Papadaki will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
