STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford swept all five event titles at the Western Regionals meet on Feb. 28 at Avery Aquatic Center, representing its final tune-up before Nationals later this month.

Saturday’s competition carried added meaning as Miko Begossi, Yujin Chang, Ivy Davis, Emily Ding, Yara Elian and Atira O’Neil were honored in a Senior Day ceremony following the meet.

The Cardinal performed well overall, thanks to its superior depth across the board in every routine. Elian, Audrey Kwon and Calista Liu led the way, capturing multiple titles.

Elian, Kwon and Liu produced a 195.0325 score to win the trio while Megumi Field, Dalia Ovadia and Karen Xue placed second at 179.1408.

In the duet, Kwon and Liu paced the field with a 186.5458 score while Field and Ovadia took second at 175.5617.

Elian’s other individual title came in the Tech A competition, delivering an 83.4181 as Stanford claimed the top six spots of the event.

Morgan Woelfel achieved a 192.0575 to win the solo routine.

The Cardinal’s top two squads finished 1-2 in the team competition.

Stanford concludes its season on March 27-28, hosting the U.S. Artistic Swimming Collegiate National Championships at Avery Aquatic Center for the first time since winning it all in front of its home crowd in 2021.
