NOTRE DAME, Ind. – No. 23 Stanford men’s tennis started its trip to the eastern time zone with a bump in the road, falling to No. 22 Notre Dame, 4-2. Stanford moves to 11-6 this season and 4-3 in the ACC.
Making its first trip to Notre Dame as members of the ACC, the Cardinal fell behind early as the Irish took the doubles point. Despite the duo of Nico Godsick and Hudson Rivera holding a 5-3 lead on court three, Notre Dame clinched the advantage with wins in the top two positions.

Despite Stanford taking four of the six first sets, Notre Dame battled back for a three set win on court six and won a tiebreaking second set on court two to clinch the match, 4-2.
