Cardinal in Lone Star State

Stanford looks to defend its crown at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational

  • Top-ranked Stanford women’s golf returns to stroke play action with its final full-field tournament of the spring season, competing in the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational, hosted by TCU.
  • The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins on March 23 with 36 holes before the final round takes place on March 24. A shotgun start begins competition on March 23 at 6:30 a.m. PT.
  • Colonial Country Club is once again the host of the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational. It plays at 6,274 yards as a par-70.
  • Stanford won the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational last year despite entering the final round in third place, three strokes back of the lead. The Cardinal overcame No. 3 Oregon and No. 9 Wake Forest.
  • This year’s field is stacked with ranked teams. There are five other teams ranked in the top-10 of the latest Scoreboard Rankings, powered by Clippd: No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 5 Texas, No. 6 Auburn, No. 7 Oregon, and No. 9 Wake Forest. Additional ranked teams in the 13-team field are No. 11 Duke, No. 16 Mississippi State, and No. 22 Arizona.
  • 11 of the 13 teams in the field are ranked in the top-35.
  • The last time Stanford competed was on March 2 in the Battle of the Bay against San Jose State. The Spartans defeated the Cardinal 4-2 in match play.
  • The Cardinal had a perfect February in stroke play. Stanford won both stroke play tournaments it entered, with the most recent being the Bruin Wave Invitational on Feb. 23-24.
  • Stanford also had two individual winners in February. Andrea Revuelta won the Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate while Paula Martín Sampedro won the Bruin Wave Invitational.
  • After her win to close out February, Martín Sampedro was named the ACC Golfer of the Month. She had a pair of top-two finishes in February and had a scoring average of 69.67 for February.
  • The next time Stanford will compete as a full team will be in the 2026 ACC Championship in Wilmington, N.C., on April 16-19.

  • Stanford’s lineup for the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational is as follows: Paula Martín Sampedro, Andrea Revuelta, Meja Örtengren, Kelly Xu, and Anna Song. Kaila Elsayegh is competing as an individual.
