BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 2 Stanford relied on a balanced offensive performance to defeat No. 10 Indiana 16-4 on Saturday afternoon in its final road contest of the regular season.

Six days after suffering its only loss of the season, Stanford (10-1, 4-1 MPSF) regrouped quickly and dominated Indiana (15-7, 1-4 MPSF) from start to finish.

Kamryn Barone and Juliette Dhalluin led the way with hat tricks, powering an offense that featured goals from nine different players as the Cardinal scored at least 15 goals for the seventh time this season.

Serena Browne, Jenna Flynn and Ella Woodhead contributed multi-goal games for the Cardinal, which scored in every quarter while holding the Hoosiers scoreless for the first half.

Stanford took control immediately, jumping out to a 5-0 lead after one period when Amber Nowaczek closed out the scoring with one minute to play.

Woodhead’s second goal with 3:51 remaining in the second quarter stretched Stanford’s lead to 7-0 before Barone added a goal four seconds before halftime for an 8-0 advantage.

Trailing 10-0, Indiana scored back-to-back goals early in the third quarter before Dhalluin delivered consecutive scores to put Stanford ahead 12-2.

The fourth quarter featured three more goals from Stanford, as Barone completed her hat trick before Claire Minton and Natalia Szczerba also found the net.

Christine Carpenter played the first half and made eight saves while Jackie King closed out the final two periods and finished with three stops.

Stanford returns to Avery Aquatic Center on Saturday, April 4, hosting California at 1 p.m. in the latest edition of the Big Splash and Senior Day. The Cardinal has won 22 of the last 27 matchups against the Golden Bears over the last 12 seasons.
