Three Competing in Millbrae

Sundberg, Chien, and Elsayegh heading to Green Hills

  • Three from the top-ranked Stanford women’s golf team are competing at the annual Silicon Valley Showcase on March 30-31.
  • Green Hills Country Club is once again the host of the Silicon Valley Showcase, with Santa Clara serving as the host institution. The course plays at 6,084 yards and is a par-71.
  • Stanford was a co-champion of this event on the team side in 2023, during the tournament’s inaugural playing.
  • Last year, Andrea Revuelta used this as a tune-up, recovering from injury, and shot a 3-under 210, good for fourth overall. She then won the next two tournaments – the 2026 ACC Championship and the 2026 NCAA Norman Regional.
  • This year, Stanford is sending Nora Sundberg, Leigh Chien, and Kaila Elsayegh up the 280 interstate to compete at Green Hills.
  • Sundberg has not played for the Cardinal in 2026. Her last competition was at the 2025 Nanea Invitational on Oct. 27-29, where she tied for 35th with a 3-over 222.
  • In three tournaments this season, Sundberg’s scoring average is 72.22, the lowest of her career.
  • Chien played for Stanford at the Bruin Wave Invitational on Feb. 23-24 and finished tied for 54th in the field, posting a 76-78-82-236.
  • Elsayegh has been in the last two full-field tournaments that Stanford has competed in. Last week at the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational in Fort Worth, Elsayegh shot 78-74-75-227.
