STANFORD, Calif. – On the program’s senior day, No. 2 Stanford set a program record for wins in a single season with 5-0 sweeps of both Pepperdine and San Jose State at Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium.
The Cardinal (34-3) broke its previous record of 32 victories in a campaign, set in 2024 and 2025. Stanford’s match against the Spartans concluded with a senior day celebration honoring the careers of Line Andersson, Kelly Belardi, Phoenix Clarke, Daria Gusarova, Sophie Kubiak and Ashley Vincent.
All of Stanford’s victories Saturday came in straight sets, as the Cardinal did not drop a set in either dual. All six Stanford seniors played during the day. Belardi, Vincent, Andersson and Gusarova each posted a 2-0 record, while Kubiak and Clarke went 2-0 in exhibition play on court six. Each match was clinched with a senior on the court, as Belardi and sophomore Avery Jackson secured the win over the Waves, and Belardi and Vincent captured the dual victory over the Spartans.
The Cardinal now awaits its seeding for the 2026 MPSF Championship, set for April 22-24 at Spiker Beach in Huntington Beach, California.
