STANFORD, Calif. - Juliette Whittaker was selected as the ACC Women's Indoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, headlining 15 Cardinal named to the All-ACC Academic Team by the conference office on Friday morning.
Whittaker earned First Team All-America honors at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships by finishing fourth in the 800 meters. At the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships, Whittaker won the 800 meters title, finishing in 2:01.84. She helped the Cardinal to a fourth-place finish in the distance medley relay and a fifth-place effort in the 4x400-meter relay.
The Laurel, Maryland, product is majoring in Science, Technology, and Society at Stanford. She has previously earned All-ACC Academic Team honors for cross country twice.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a 3.0-grade point average for the previous three quarters and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career, while being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and being classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in either the ACC Championships or NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
