Chang Honored as Academic All-American

The graduate student is the program’s 11th Academic All-American

AUSTIN, Texas – Making an impact on The Farm as a graduate student, Alex Chang has been selected as a third team Academic All-American from College Sports Communicators.

Chang becomes the 11th player in program history to earn the honor, and Stanford has at least one honoree for the sixth consecutive season dating back to 2021. He joins KJ Hippensteel (2001, 2002), David Martin (2003), Axel Geller (2021, 2022), Arthur Fery (2023), Nishesh Basavareddy (2024), Neel Rajesh (2024), Samir Banerjee (2025) and Max Basing (2025) as Stanford players to earn the honor.

Recently selected to participate in the American Collegiate Player Wild Card Playoffs, Chang was selected to the All-ACC second team in doubles as well as to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships All-Tournament Team at No. 1 doubles alongside Alex Razeghi. The Berkeley native was ranked as high as No. 41 in singles, going 15-11 on the season, and No. 6 in doubles, posting a 21-14 mark and reaching the NCAA round of 16.

Chang helped lead the Cardinal to a 19-9 overall record and its fifth consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance.
