Men's Golf Advances to Match Play in NCAA Tournament

Team ends the 2025-26 campaign with its best season since 2019

No. 15 Stanford’s tournament run came to an end on Tuesday as the No. 8-seeded Cardinal fell to No. 1 Auburn, 3-1, in NCAA Match Play Quarterfinal action. Stanford, which advanced to the quarterfinal out of a four-team playoff on Monday night, ends the 2025-26 campaign with its best season since the national-championship winning 2019 season. 

Stanford’s season ends with three stroke play tournament wins - its most since the 2022-23 campaign - while making match play for the first time in the NCAA Championships since the 2019 campaign. The Cardinal also ended the season as the last Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) team remaining in the field in just its second season in the conference. 

Claiming the sole point for the Card was Nathan Wang who held firm against the No. 1 player in the Tournament, Jackson Koivun. The match play win was Wang's third of the seaon and first of this calendar year.

Women's golf's entire lineup named All-Americans

Team's third season in a row with all five earning Second Team honors or better

For the third year in a row, the entire Stanford women’s golf lineup received All-America honors from the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), as announced on Tuesday.

12 Division I women’s golfers earned First Team All-America status; four are Stanford Cardinal. Megha GannePaula Martín SampedroMeja Örtengren, and Andrea Revuelta earn First Team status while Kelly Xu lands Second Team honors for the third time in her career.

Addtionally, Ganne has been named the recipient of the 2026 Inkster Award presented by Workday, recognizing the highest-ranked women’s Division I collegiate golfer in her final year of eligibility for the 2025-2026 college golf season.

Teddy Tokheim

Teddy Tokhiem named Freshman All-American

Tokhiem was one of 34 players named to the list

Freshman Teddy Tokheim has been recognized as a Freshman All-American following a standout first season on The Farm, earning a spot on the first team according to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

Named All-ACC second team and to the ACC All-Freshman squad, Tokheim led the Cardinal in hitting with a .352 average, posting 40 runs scored, 19 doubles, 17 home runs and 47 RBIs while compiling a .414 on-base percentage and a .704 slugging percentage. The native of Seattle, Wash. recorded a team-best 23 multi-hit games and a team-leading 15 multi-RBI contests, hit safely in 38 of his 48 games played, and reached in all but eight of his contests.

Tokheim batted .372 with 23 runs scored, 14 doubles, 12 home runs and 33 RBIs in ACC play while posting a .760 slugging percentage and a .423 on-base percentage.

Women's Rowing has five Card Named 2026 CRCA/Pocock First Team All-Americans

The Cardinal is one of two programs with five rowers named to the CRCA/Pocock First Team

The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) has recognized five Stanford rowers as CRCA First-Team All-Americans, the organization announced Friday. 

Ella CasanoMatilda DrewettNora GoodwillieAnnika Jeffery and Quincy Stone each earned first-team All-America honors. It marks the fifth time in program history and fourth consecutive season that Stanford has placed five rowers on the first team.

Drewett became a two-time All-American with this year's honor, while Casano, Goodwillie, Jeffery and Stone were honored for the first time.

All five rowed in Stanford’s varsity eight, which finished as the national runner-up and was named the ACC Crew of the Year for the second straight season following its performance at the conference championship.

 

Brooke Ruszkiewicz

Lightweight Rowing's Brooke Ruszkiewicz named All-American

Ruszkiewicz earns the 42nd All-America honor in program history

After a strong season on the water, Brooke Ruszkiewicz of the lightweight rowing team has been named a CRCA/Pocock All-American.

Ruszkiewicz becomes Stanford’s first All-American since 2024, with the honor the first of Ruszkiewicz’s career. Also named a CRCA Scholar-Athlete on Friday, the Middleton, Wisconsin native rowed in all eight raced with the varsity eight, helping to lead the Cardinal to a fourth place team finish at the IRA National Championships and bronze in the varsity eight.

She also helped Stanford to a bronze medal finish at Eastern Sprints, with Stanford ranked as high as No. 4 nationally, and rowed twice with the varsity four.

Jasmine Aikey

Benny Gealer and Jasmine Aikey named ACC Scholar Athletes of the year

Both won scholar-athlete of the year in their respective sports

After already winning ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in Men's Basketball and Women's Soccer, respectively, Benny Gealer and Jasmine Aikey were named Stanford's ACC Men and Women Scholar-Atheletes of the Year. 

Stanford senior guard Benny Gealer was selected as the recipient of the ACC’s 2025-26 Skip Prosser Award for men’s basketball. The Skip Prosser Award is presented annually to the top scholar-athlete in ACC men’s basketball. It is named in memory of Wake Forest head basketball coach George Edward “Skip” Prosser.

Aikey, alongside her MAC Hermann award for women's soccers's best athlete, was selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference’s 2025 Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year and headlined the 2025 All-ACC Academic Women’s Soccer Team.
