Razeghi, Leach Claim ITA Regional Honors

Stanford reached the NCAA Super Regionals for the fifth consecutive season in 2026

ATHENS, Ga. – The honors continue to roll in for Stanford men’s tennis, as Alex Razeghi has been named the ITA Northwest Region Player to Watch and Jagger Leach was selected as the ITA Northwest Region Rookie of the Year.

One of the most improved players in the country, Razeghi posted a team-leading 21-4 singles record on the season, including an 18-2 dual mark, and a 21-13 record in doubles. He was also named to the All-ACC second team in both singles and doubles and to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships All-Tournament team at No. 1 doubles in February. Razeghi posted career-best rankings of No. 6 in doubles and No. 54 in singles, and he ended the season as the No. 1 ranked player in the Northwest Region in both singles and doubles, alongside Alex Chang.

Leach had a strong debut season on the Farm, going 16-9 in singles and 12-11 in doubles. He was named the ACC Freshman of the Week three times and went 8-5 against ACC opponents. The highlight of Leach’s first conference campaign was clinching back-to-back matches against Wake Forest and NC State, coming back from a 5-2 third-set deficit to earn the win over the Demon Deacons. Leach is Stanford’s fifth straight ITA Northwest Rookie of the Year, joining Razeghi, Kyle Kang, Nishesh Basavareddy, Max Basing.

Both played helped to lead the Cardinal to a 19-9 overall record and its fifth consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance in 2026.
