  • The 2026-27 college tennis season begins in Tulsa, as Stanford will send three student-athletes to the ITA All-American Championships. The pre-qualifying round begins on Saturday, Sept. 19, while the championship matches are scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27. Draws for the event will be released later this week.
  • The Cardinal has two singles players in the main draw, and one singles player beginning in the pre-qualifying phase. Alex Razeghi and Hudson Rivera will begin singles play on Wednesday, Sept. 23 in the main draw, while Ronit Karki – making his collegiate debut – begins in pre-qualifying on Saturday, Sept. 19.
  • 10 players and five doubles pairs can qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in November via the ITA All-American Championships. In singles, the eight quarterfinalists plus the two consolation finalists qualify and, in doubles, the four semifinalists and consolation champion punch their ticket to Athens, Georgia.
  • Stanford has three singles players slotted in the preseason ITA rankings: Alex Razeghi (23), Hudson Rivera (56) and Kyle Kang (86). Additionally, two doubles pairs are ranked: Nathan Barki/Razeghi (10), Nico Godsick/Rivera (21).
  • In a 2025-26 season where Stanford opened one of the nation’s premier tennis facilities, Stanford went 19-9 overall, including a 9-4 mark in the ACC, and it reached the round of 16 in the NCAA Championship for the fifth consecutive season. Razeghi was named to the All-ACC second team in singles and doubles, and honored as the ITA Northwest Region Player to Watch, as one of the most improved players in the country, going a team-leading 21-4 with an 18-2 dual mark last spring. Jagger Leach was named the ITA Northwest Region Rookie of the Year after going 16-9 during his freshman campaign, while Hudson Rivera provided 15 singles wins and Nico Godsick 12.
  • Overall, Stanford returns eight players from last season’s roster while adding a top-seven recruiting class nationally in blue chip talents Ronit Karki (#4 national recruit per Tennis Recruiting Network) and Gus Grumet (#17). In addition to Razeghi’s accolades from 2026, Kyle Kang (second team) and Nico Godsick (honorable mention) were All-Pac-12 selections in 2024. Stanford won the 2025 ACC Tournament in its first season in the conference.
  • The Cardinal has had success on the professional level, notably with Nishesh Basavareddy, Tristan Boyer and Arthur Fery in recent years. Fery captivated the tennis world at Wimbledon in June with a run to the semifinals, becoming the seventh Stanford players to reach the semifinals of Wimbledon and the first since John McEnroe in 1992. Fery, Basavareddy and Boyer have all earned grand slam wins, with Fery and Basavareddy entering the top-100 rankings in the world.
  • As of September 2026, Stanford has four alumni in the ATP top-300: Fery (36, career-high 33), Basavareddy (167, career-high 99), Boyer (212, career-high 106) and Max Basing (234, career-high 219).
  • Paul Goldstein is in his 13th season as the Taube Family Director of Men's Tennis. Goldstein’s teams have posted a 211-88 record with a national ranking and a berth in the NCAA Championships in each of his seasons at the helm.
