  • The annual Stanford Intercollegiate, hosted by Dr. Condoleezza Rice, takes place this weekend at Stanford Golf Course on Oct. 16-18.
  • Acer and Fortinet are supporting sponsors of this year’s Stanford Intercollegiate.
  • Stanford Golf Course plays at 6,278 yards and is a par-71.
  • There are two split waves of tee times, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Sunday features a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
  • 17 teams make up this year’s field. Including Stanford, there are six ranked teams in this year’s Intercollegiate: No. 2 USC, No. 8 Virginia, No. 9 Iowa State, No. 14 UCLA, and No. 22 Pepperdine.
  • Stanford got back on track in its second stroke-play tournament of the season, winning the Windy City Classic on Oct. 5-6 in Glencoe, Ill. Despite finishing four strokes over par, Stanford won by six over Virginia and Duke.
  • Three Cardinal finished in the top five: Meja Örtengren finished fourth, and Nikki Oh and Andrea Revuelta tied for fifth. Örtengren was one of four in the entire field to finish at par or better.
  • Through two tournaments this year, Örtengren has a pair of top-five finishes. She is the only Cardinal to finish in the top ten in both of her tournaments this season.
  • Stanford won the 2025 Stanford Intercollegiate by setting a then-course record by going 35-under as a team (817). Megha Ganne won individual medalist honors while six Cardinal finished in the top 12.
  • After dropping a match play event to San Jose State on March 2, Stanford did not suffer a loss the rest of the 2025-26 season. The Cardinal won the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate, ACC Championship, NCAA Stanford Regional, and both the stroke play and match play portions of the NCAA Championship.
  • Stanford’s NCAA Championship was the program’s third in five years and its fourth overall. The Cardinal trails only Arizona State (8) and Duke (7) for the most in NCAA history.
  • Over the summer, both Paula Martín Sampedro and Andrea Revuelta moved into the top spot of the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Martín Sampedro took over first in the rankings on Aug. 26 before Revuelta overtook her on Sept. 2. They currently sit as the second and third-ranked world amateurs entering this tournament.
  • Heading into the season, three Cardinal were named Preseason All-Americans: Martín Sampedro, Örtengren, and Revuelta. All three are also on the ANNIKA Award Preseason Watchlist.
  • The Stanford Intercollegiate is once again using this weekend to PlayForHer as part of an initiative to help raise funds in support of breast cancer research.
  • This year’s tournament is being dedicated to Christine Romer, a four-time letter winner on the women’s golf team at California and a 2002 graduate. She went on to pursue her MBA at Pepperdine University, but just two weeks into the program, at the age of 28, her life changed forever when she was diagnosed with Stage 3B metastatic breast cancer. Today, Christine has been in remission for 15 years. She serves as a UCSF Breast Oncology Advocate and on the Department of Defense breast cancer research panel. She lives in Florida, where she works as an LPGA teaching professional and certified yoga instructor.
  • Supporters can help raise money by making a one-time donation or pledging to sponsor each birdie made by your favorite team. In 2025, there were 807 total birdies, an average of about 42 per team.
