STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford redshirt sophomore setter Kevin Hansen (Newport Beach, CA) has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week. This is the third time, and second time in a row, that a Cardinal has earned MPSF POW honors this season.
Hansen led Stanford to road victories over Pacific, UCLA and UC Irvine last week. He set the Cardinal to a combined .357 team hitting percentage in the three matches, and had 143 assists, 25 digs and eight blocks.
The fourth-ranked Cardinal (17-11, 14-8) opens MPSF Playoff action against UC Irvine on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Burnham Pavilion.
