Stanford, Calif. - Stanford men's soccer will continue with its preseason this Friday, April 30, when it hosts Saint Mary's. The game is set for 7 p.m. at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium. The game will feature a rematch of the opening round game of the 2009 NCAA tournament, which Stanford won to advance to the round of 32.
This will be the first chance for Stanford fans to catch the Cardinal at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium this spring. The Cardinal return much of last year's Sweet 16 team. Admission to Friday's game is free.
Last weekend, the Cardinal traveled to Sacramento State and earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Hornets. It was an impressive performance by the Cardinal in a matchup of teams that both advanced past the first round in 2009. Stanford improved to 1-0-1 on the spring season.
