General - Looking to make his Stanford debut in 2004 after missing his freshman season with an arm injury that he continued to recover from as a sophomore last year • Healthy for the first time this season and didn't miss a turn on the hill in fall practice • Has an excellent split-finger fastball and velocity has returned into the mid-80's.

High School - A 2001 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School • Selected to the 2001 First Team All-Moore League team • Named team MVP his senior year • Tossed 59.1 innings with 45 strikeouts and a 2.30 ERA, while hitting .372 with six homers and 38 RBI in his senior campaign • Team played in the CIF finals as a sophomore and junior • Member of the National Honor Society and California Scholastic Federation • Graduated with a 3.98 GPA • Coached by Mark Clabouch (1998-2000) and Andy Hall (2001).
Amateur Summer Baseball - Returned to the mound for limited action during the summer of 2003, posting an 0-0 record and a 2.70 ERA with nine strikeouts in 6.2 innings over six relief appearances for the Santa Barbara Foresters of the California Coastal Collegiate League • Also took part in one shutout during the summer of 2003 • Did not play in the summer of 2002 due to his arm injury • Played for the Mary Star Connie Mack team in 2001 and the Wilson High School American Legion team in 2000 • Participated in the Team One National Showcase following his junior year • Played in the 2000 Goodwill Games against Japan.
