Marder enters his second season on The Farm in 2019 after arriving alongside the Clarke and Elizabeth Nelson Director of Baseball David Esquer in 2018. Marder, who assists with nearly all aspects of the program, primarily serves as the team’s catching coach and first base coach.

Marder comes to The Farm after one season as an assistant coach with the Keiser Seahawks of the NAIA. At Keiser, he led the squad in recruiting operations as well as manning third base. Marder helped the Seahawks to the program's first NAIA World Series appearance, which included a conference championship and a school-record 43 wins.

Marder played for the University of Oregon as both a catcher and an infielder. The Calabasas, California native was drafted in the 16th round by the Seattle Mariners in 2011 as a draft-eligible sophomore. He spent four years in the Seattle organization and reached as high as Double-A.

Marder previously served as a volunteer assistant at Purdue and as an assistant coach for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League in the summers of 2014 and 2015. His coaching career began as an undergraduate coach at Oregon in 2015 and 2016 while finishing his degree in political science.
