John starts his ninth year with Stanford Athletic Training and the baseball program, and second as an Associate Director of Athletic Training after having served previously as an assistant and associate athletic trainer during his time on The Farm. Prior to joining the department in October 2017, John spent six years at Santa Clara University, the last three as an Associate Athletic Trainer. During his tenure, he worked primarily with the Santa Clara baseball and women’s golf teams, as well as assuming a wide variety of administrative responsibility within the department. John also worked intimately with the San Jose State University Athletic Training Education Program as the lead preceptor for all athletic training clinical students at Santa Clara.
Prior to Santa Clara, John spent two years at Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro, TN as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer working with the baseball team and earned his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science.
A Connecticut native, John completed his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
He currently lives in San Jose with his wife, Amanda, son, Hudson, and dog, Summit.
