Sam Contorno enters her fifth season on The Farm in 2021 as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach. Contorno is also the Sports Performance Coach for Men’s Volleyball, and the 2018-19 National Champion Women’s Lightweight Rowing.

Contorno began her time with the Cardinal as an intern in 2017, before becoming a part-time Sports Performance Coach in 2018. As a part-time assistant, Contorno designed and implemented the training programs for Men’s Volleyball and Women’s Lightweight Rowing. As an intern, Contorno assisted with Men’s Volleyball, Wrestling, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Field Hockey, and Women’s Crew.

Prior to her arrival on The Farm, Contorno was an Athletic Performance Intern for UCLA.

Contorno was born and raised in Bethel, Connecticut, and graduated with a BS in Molecular Integrative Neuroscience and a minor in Health & Wellness Studies from Binghamton University in 2012, and a MS in Human Nutrition from University of Bridgeport in 2018.

Contorno is CSCS, USAW-L1, CPR, AED, and First Aid certified.
