Nate Britt II is in his second season with the men's basketball program and first as director of basketball research.

The Cardinal won 14 games in 2022-23 and closed the season as one of the top offensive programs in the country. Stanford downed a top-five opponent for the second consecutive season and ended the year with a top-25 offense nationally. James Keefe was Stanford’s third straight Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Brandon Angel and Michael Jones were named Academic All-Americans. Spencer Jones was an All-Pac-12 forward for the second season in a row.

A four-year player for Roy Williams at North Carolina, Britt reached back-to-back NCAA Championship games with the Tar Heels, including a win in the national championship game in 2017. Britt holds the program record for conference wins by a player (59) and ranks in the top five for career wins (fourth, 116) and career games played (second, 151). He earned the program’s Marvin Williams Carolina Way and George Lynch Best Defensive Player awards for the 2016-17 campaign.

Following his standout collegiate tenure, Britt spent five seasons playing professionally in five different countries, leading each team to playoff appearances and averaging north of 10 points per game in four of the five stints. The guard started his career with the Glasgow Rocks (England) in 2017-18, continued with Boca Juniors (Argentina) in 2018-19, moved to Omonia Nicosia (Cyprus) in 2019-20, where he averaged a career-best 14.5 points per game, and ended with stays with Wiha Panthers Schwenningen (Germany) in 2020-21 and Yoast United (Netherlands) in 2021-22.

Britt graduated from North Carolina in 2017 with a degree in management and society.
