• Rowed in the 7 seat of the varsity eight boat that bested Oregon State at the Collegiate Covered Bridge Regatta
• Part of Stanford’s varsity eight boat that earned a third-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships
• Led varsity eight boat to a 13th-place finish at the 2022 IRA Championships as the 6 seat

• Member of the Varsity Eight, which placed 10th at the IRA Championships

International Competition

• Won silver with the United States at the Under-23 World Championships in the men's 8+
• Competed in the 2017 Junior World Championships in Trakai, Lithuania
• Rowed in the 2016 CanAmMex regatta in Sarasota, Fla.

Prior to Stanford

• At New Trier High was the top scorer on the junior varsity hockey team in his only season
• Captained the rowing team as a senior and broke school 2,000-meter record
• Won the 2016 SRAA national championship in the 8+
• Second in the 2017 and 2018 SRAA national championships in the 8+

Personal

• Parents are Christopher and Kimberly Chatain
• Father was a collegiate All-America sailor and placed third in the Flying Dutchman class at the 1968 U.S. Olympic Trials
• Christopher Chatain was a two-time Flying Dutchman national champion, and the 1993 Chicago-Mackinac Race
• Has three brothers, John, Ted, and Charles
