Cassie Wyckoff is in her first season as a volunteer assistant for the Stanford women’s water polo program.
A 2012 graduate of Indiana University, Wyckoff separated herself as the greatest goalkeeper in Hoosier history. She totaled 1,108 saves - over 200 more than second place in the Indiana record books – and in her final two seasons, Wyckoff earned Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-American honorable mention accolades.
She was also named to two All-Eastern Championship - First Teams (2010, 2011), two Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) All-Division Teams (2010, 2012) and was the CWPA Eastern Championship Most Valuable Player in 2011.
During the 2011 season, Wyckoff had what was at the time a school record 348 saves (she broke her record the next season with 356, which still stands). The same year she led Indiana to the second CWPA Championship and second NCAA Championship appearances in school history.
A Bay Area native, Wykcoff helped Los Altos High School to three CCS tournaments and played for the Stanford Water Polo Club beginning at the age of 12.
Internationally, she was a part of the Stanford women’s water polo contingent that represented the United States at the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea. She earned a silver medal with Team USA at the 2011 World University Games in Shenzhen, China.
After college, Wyckoff continued a professional career, competing for three seasons in Dunaujvaros, Hungary and another in Eger, Hungary.
She currently plays for New York Athletic Club. With Wyckoff, NYAC won gold at the US Open of Water Polo in 2012 and 2013, when she was named MVP, and bronze in 2015.
Wyckoff is pursuing a career in coaching and personal training. She is also promoting and marketing the upcoming book Sydney's Silver Lining which will tell the story of the first USA women's Olympic water polo team and its historic journey to the podium at the Sydney 2000 Games.
