2007-08 Season (Senior): Won four bouts in his first season of collegiate wrestling ... Pinned his opponent in his first collegiate match, earning a fall in the first period at the Central Missouri Open ... Wrestled in his first collegiate dual against East Stroudsburg ... Advanced to the championship bout at the Boxer Open, and took second place at the event.

At Stanford: Has been a thrower on the Cardinal track and field squad for the last three years, competing in discus and shot put events.

High School: A 2004 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School ... Competed in wrestling through the 2000-01 school year.

Personal: An Electrical Engineering major ... Parents are Gary and Elaine Shughart.
