Walla Walla, Wash. - The 2002 Pacific-10 Women's Golf All-Conference Teams, as voted upon by the Pac-10 women's golf coaches, was announced Wednesday at the Pac-10 Women's Golf Championships at the Walla Walla Country Club in Walla Walla, Washington.
Cardinal junior Kim Rowton was a second-team selection while freshman Wendra Liang was an honorable mention honoree.
Rowton (San Antonio, TX) leads the team this year in stroke average (74.8) and top-25 finishes (6,including three top-10). The junior recorded her best finish on the season at the Peg Barnard Collegiate, held at the Stanford Golf Course, where she finished second.
Liang (San Francisco, CA) is the only freshman on this year's squad and posted her highest finish of the season at the conference championships - a tie for ninth place overall. Liang has competed in seven events this year for the Cardinal and has a 77.9 stroke average.
The Stanford women's golf program will host the 2002 NCAA West Regional, May 9-11, at the Stanford Golf Course next month.
