Senior KC Corkery (Manhattan Beach, CA/Mira Costa HS) of the Stanford Men's Tennis Team was selected as the Stanford/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of May 23-May 29.
Last weekend, Corkery led Stanford to an upset victory over No. 4 Duke to advance to the quarterfinals in the NCAA Team Championships. Corkery and doubles partner James Pade defeated Duke's Joey Atas and Jonathan Stokke, 8-1, to lead the Stanford squad past the Blue Devils. In NCAA singles action, Corkery defeated Clemson's Clement Reix 7-5, 6-2 Saturday to advance to the semifinals. Corkery closed out his Stanford career as a four-time All-American.
This is Corkery's second Stanford/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor. Corkery was also honored on October 25.
