• Stanford improved to 2-0 on the road this season and has now won at least its first two games on the road for two of the last three seasons.

• Stanford's last three games have been decided by a total of four points with a pair of one-point road wins at USC (24-23) and at Arizona (21-20) sandwiching a 38-36 home loss to TCU.

• Fifth-year senior running back Jason Evans had a career-high 78 rushing yards on a career-high and team season-high 21 carries in his first career start. Evans also scored his first TD of the season and the second of his career on a two-yard run with 0:05 remaining in the first half.
