  • The win was the 16th in a row for the Cardinal, continuing its school-record and the nation's longest win streak (October 2, 2009 against Oregon)
  • Stanford is now 7-1 against his last eight top-25 opponents.
  • It was just the fifth overtime game in Stanford history (loss in 2005 v. UCLA, win in 2000 v. Cal, loss in 1998 at Arizona State, win v. Oregon in 1996).
  • The 56 points is the most in USC-Stanford history, besting the 55 two years ago in Los Angeles.
  • Andrew Luck had been sacked two times previous (at Duke). He was sacked twice tonight.
  • Stepfan Taylor moved into fourth place all-time with 25 career TD's passing Darrin Nelson's 24 (1977-81) in the third overtime period. He also moved up to sixth all-time in career rushing.
  • Griff Whalen broke his career-high for receiving (was 92 yards against Colorado). It was his first 100-yard game.
  • The 13-10 lead by USC to open up the second half (13:54) was the first time Stanford had trailed this season.
  • With a 10-6 lead at the half, Stanford has outscored all eight opponents 162-61 in the first half this season and have outscored opponents 463-151 over the last 21 games in the first half.
  • Eric Whitaker, playing for an injured Jordan Williamson, made his first career start at kicker and first career PAT and field goal attempts.
  • It was the first career interception for A.J. Tarpley.
