STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford returns home this weekend for a three-game series against No. 23/24 Arizona State.
The Cardinal (16-19, 0-9 Pac-12) looks to get back on track after a challenging weekend at then-No. 4/3 Arizona.
The series against the Sun Devils (23-12, 2-7 Pac-12) begins Thursday at 4 p.m. (PT) and continues Friday at 5 p.m. The finale will take place Saturday at noon.
The games on Thursday and Friday will be televised on the Pac-12 Network, while Saturday's game will be streamed for free via GoStanford.com. Live statistics will be available via GoStanford.com.
LAST TIME OUT
• Stanford produced 10 hits and did not commit an error in three games at No. 4/3 Arizona but the Cardinal could not slowdown the Wildcats' offense, dropping all three games.
• Kylie Sorenson paced the Cardinal offensively, hitting .444 (4-for-9) with a double, a run and a .556 slugging percentage.
• Stanford's defense was excellent throughout the weekend. The Cardinal's middle infield of Sorenson (SS) and Lauren Wegner (2B) was particularly impressive, making highlight-worthy plays throughout the weekend. Hannah Howell provided the defensive highlight of the weekend in the series finale when she robbed a home run in left field during the fifth inning.

THE ARIZONA STATE SERIES
• Stanford is 26-45 all-time against Arizona State and went 0-3 last season in Tempe, Arizona.
• The Cardinal's most recent Pac-12 victory came against the Sun Devils on May 3, 2015 – a 4-2 victory in extra innings. Stanford erased a two-run deficit in the bottom of the seventh inning to send the game to extras where Victoria Molina hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning for the walk-off win.
• The Cardinal will see a familiar face in the opposing dugout in Sun Devils head coach Trisha Ford. She spent nine seasons with the Cardinal from 2004-12 and helped Stanford reach six Super Regionals and the 2004 Women's College World Series.
