STANFORD, Calif. - No. 22 Stanford was well represented among this year's America East All-Conference awards, dominating the selections and coming away with the Offensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Co-Goalkeeper of the Year, and Coaching Staff of the Year.
The Cardinal (13-5, 5-1 America East) earned these awards on its way to winning the West Division and earning a No. 1 seed in the America East Conference Tournament that begins Thursday at the Varsity Turf. Stanford is playing host to a conference tournament for the first time since the NorPac Conference Championship was held on The Farm back in 2011.
Sophomore attacker Corinne Zanolli received Offensive Player of the Year honors for her explosive season. In 2017, Zanolli was America East Rookie of the Year after leading the Cardinal in goals (15), assists (10) and points (40). In 2018, she nearly doubled that total with a team-leading 24 goals and 55 points on 75 shots while also adding seven assists.
Junior Kelsey Bing was named co-Goalkeeper of the Year alongside Albany's Melissa Nealon for her effort leading the Cardinal defense. Bing has started all 18 games for Stanford, picking up 101 saves to only 27 goals allowed, for a 1.47 goals against average and a .789 save percentage. Bing has now won the award in back-to-back seasons, following up a 2017 campaign in which she posted a conference-best .794 save percentage to rank sixth nationally.

Freshman defender Molly Redgrove, who totaled five goals, five assists and a defensive save in her debut season, earned conference Rookie of the Year honors. Redgrove has helped lead a Cardinal defense that has limited opponents to 1.56 goals per game. A native of Twinstead, England, Redgrove was a member of the England national team from 2016-18 before joining the Cardinal.
The Cardinal also placed four student-athletes on the West Division All-Conference team, with Bing, Redgrove and Zanolli joined by freshman Fenella Scutt. A two-time U18 National Schools Champion in her England career, Scutt has tallied one goal and six assists to help pace the Cardinal attack.
Bing and Zanolli took home two more honors on the night, earning spots on the All-Academic team. Bing carries a 3.96 GPA as a mechanical engineering major, while Zanolli owns a 3.64 GPA.
Head coach Tara Danielson and assistant coaches Steve Danielson and Patrick Cota were recognized as the Coaching Staff of the Year. Led by Danielson, the Cardinal has lived up to its billing as defending conference champions with a 5-1 conference record and the West Division's No. 1 seed. A four-time NorPac Coach of the Year recipient, Danielson has mentored seven All-Americans during her time on The Farm. Steve Danielson is one of the most accomplished USA Men's National Team players in the team's history, and Cota was also a key contributor for the US National Team from 1999-2012.
Many parallels between All-American @Kelsey_Bing's demeanor in goal and her analytical approach as a mechanical engineering major. #GoStanford https://t.co/xzfSx6wDb0

In addition to making seven NCAA Tournament appearances in eight seasons, the coaching staff has guided Stanford to four conference titles, including back-to-back America East championships in 2016-17. The Cardinal, which has posted a 136-51 overall record under the Danielson-led staff, has remained a fixture in the national rankings since November 2010.
Stanford opens tournament play on Thursday, Nov. 1, against New Hampshire at 1 p.m. Semifinals are scheduled for Friday-Saturday, followed by Sunday's championship game.
