STANFORD, Calif. - For the first time since Nov. 17, the Stanford women's swimming team will be back in action with dual meets against the Arizona schools this weekend. The Cardinal divers, who competed at UCLA over the weekend, will also compete as the squads team up against Arizona on Friday at 1 p.m. PT, and Arizona State on Saturday at 11 a.m.

» Stanford has won six straight dual meets against the Wildcats.
» In the last trip to Tucson two years ago, then-junior Janet Hu won four times and Kassidy Cook swept the diving events to lead No. 2 Stanford to a 190-104 victory at No. 17 Arizona.
» Last year, a brief hail storm was not enough to slow down No. 3 Stanford women's swimming and diving in a 192-100 win over No. 20 Arizona at Avery Aquatic Center. Then-junior Ella Eastin won three events and senior Kassidy Cook swept the diving events.

StreaksStanford has won 25 straight dual meets. The Cardinal's last defeat in a dual was to No. 3 Cal on Feb. 14, 2015—which also marks a string of 23 straight Pac-12 dual meet victories since that loss. The Cardinal has also won 17 straight dual meets at home dating back to Oct. 30, 2014 against Texas (156-144).
Fall RecapStanford started its 2018-19 campaign with a pair of victories in October. The Cardinal opened the season with a 191-101 victory over Utah at Avery Aquatic Center on Nov. 9. Stanford won all 16 events, including seven by freshmen. A full recap is here. Just three days later, the Cardinal capped its opening week with its second Pac-12 dual win, 169-86, over Washington State at Gibb Pool in Pullman, Washington. Freshman Zoe Bartel, freshman Taylor Ruck and junior Erin Voss each set pool records while Lauren Pitzer won a pair of events, and Lucie Nordmann earned her first collegiate victory. Captains ChosenSeniors Ella Eastin, Leah Stevens and Kim Williams were selected as team captains for the 2018-19 season. Hailing from Irvine, Calif., Louisville, Ky., and Bellevue, Wash., respectively, Eastin, Stevens and Williams have been key members of Stanford's back-to-back Pac-12 and NCAA championship teams. The trio has combined for 23 All-America honors, including 13 national titles and 11 Pac-12 titles, and has been equally inspiring in the classroom with six Pac-12 All-Academic honors between them.
"This is a very deserving honor for Ella, Leah and Kim," Meehan said. "They have each grown into this role over the past three years, and our team is already thriving because of their leadership skills. I'm excited to see where it takes us." Avery AdditionAvery Aquatic Center received a large-sized upgrade during the offseason. The new scoreboard will serve all of Stanford's aquatic sports including the men's and women's swimming and diving programs, both water polo teams and synchronized swimming.

Championship RingsOnly one team each year gets this moment. Last week, the Cardinal received its NCAA national championship rings, designed by the outgoing seniors. Several of the seniors were able to make it back to campus for the ring ceremony.
