Thirty-six are All-Academic

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford earned two team academic awards and 36 Cardinal earned All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Both the Stanford men and women were among those earning All-Academic team distinction. The Cardinal women had a team GPA of 3.43. The men had a GPA of 3.27.

The individuals were selected by having cumulative grade-point averages of at least 3.25 combined with advancing to at least the NCAA Prelims outdoors, or being ranked among the nation's top 96 indoors.

Twenty Stanford men and 16 Cardinal women made the cuts. Among them were first-team outdoor All-Americans Charles Hicks (10,000 meters), Keyshawn King (triple jump), Udodi Onwuzurike (200), Ky Robinson (5,000), and Cole Sprout (10,000) among the men. First-team All-American women to earn the USTFCCCA All-Academic honor were Christina Aragon (1,500), Julia Heymach (1,500), Allie Jones (heptathlon), and Virginia Miller (javelin).
