Francois Elevated

STANFORD, Calif. - After a successful first season on The Farm, Dr. Enock Francois has been promoted to Associate Head Coach, Rob Koll, The Matt Gentry Head Wrestling Coach, announced today.

Francois's title will now be The Patricia Miranda Associate Head Wrestling Coach. He is in his second season with the Cardinal, which begins its season on Nov. 6.
"I am pleased to have Enock be recognized for his contributions to the program," said Koll. "He brings an unrivaled level of passion to the room each day. We are fortunate to have him in this role and continue to have an impact on the student-athletes."

In his first year at Stanford, Francois helped the Cardinal secure another top 20 finish at the national tournament and produce multiple All-Americans in the same season for the first time since 2016.

Under Francois's guidance, Shane Griffith (165 pounds) and Real Woods (141 pounds) reached the semifinals at the NCAA Championships - the first time the Cardinal had multiple wrestlers in the semifinals in the same season. Griffith was the national runner-up, becoming just the second two-time finalist in program history.

Francois also assisted the Cardinal in a third-place team finish at the Pac-12 Championships, coaching Woods and Tyler Eischens (174 pounds) to individual conference titles.

Francois's responsibilities with the Cardinal consist of but are not limited to compliance, ARMS, recruiting, organization, visits, timelines, travel, logistics, and team budget.
