Two-time A.P. All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey was traded from Carolina to San Francisco for four draft picks on Friday. In his first game for the 49ers, he played 22 offensive snaps in a 44-23 loss to visiting Kansas City. McCaffrey rushed eight times for 38 yards and had two receptions for 24 yards. 

McCaffrey's Stanford teammate Justin Reid had five solos among his seven tackles from his safety position for the Chiefs. Linebacker Curtis Robinson played 57 percent of the special teams snaps for the 49ers.

Seattle tight end Colby Parkinson had a 28-yard reception, setting up a touchdown, and drew a pass interference penalty in the Seahawks' 37-23 victory at the Los Angeles Chargers. 

New England's Jake Bailey averaged 40.0 yards on four punts, with a long of 47, in the Patriots' 33-14 Monday night loss to visiting Chicago.

Houston defensive tackle Thomas Booker played a career-high 27 defensive snaps (48 percent) and had two tackles in the Texans' 38-20 loss at Las Vegas. Starting Houston quarterback Davis Mills threw for a season-high 302 yards, completing 21 of 48 passes with two touchdowns. According to Pro Football Focus, Mills was 12-for-13 passing for 169 yards and a TD when blitzed. For the Raiders, inside linebacker Blake Martinez had four tackles in his first start and second game with the team.

Tennessee tight end Austin Hooper had three receptions for a team-high 56 yards and earned a 90.0 offensive grade from PFF in the Titans' 19-10 victory over visiting Indianapolis. The Colts got 10 tackles and two passes defensed by starting inside linebacker Bobby Okereke, who earned a team-high 82.7 defensive grade by PFF.

Arizona starting tight end Zach Ertz had two receptions for 21 yards in a 42-34 victory over visiting New Orleans. 

Jets' starting offensive guard Nate Herbig did not allow a sack, QB hit, or QB hurry in 34 pass-blocking snaps during New York's 16-9 victory at Denver. Herbig earned a 77.8 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus. Defensive tackle Solomon Thomas had two tackles and a QB hurry for the Jets. Denver's Cameron Fleming made his first start at left tackle since the 2019 season when he played for Dallas.

Atlanta center Drew Dalman played all 47 snaps at center and had a 72.0 pass-blocking grade by Pro Football Focus in a 35-17 loss at Cincinnati. Michael Thomas, a safety for the Bengals, played 68 percent of special teams snaps. 

Jacksonville offensive tackle Walker Little played five offensive snaps in the Jaguars' 23-17 loss to the visiting New York Giants. 

Dallas starting tight end Dalton Schultz had five receptions for 49 yards in the Cowboys' 24-6 victory over visiting Detroit.

Washington defensive end Casey Toohill had a tackle in the Commanders' 23-21 victory against visiting Green Bay.

Minnesota defensive tackle Harrison Phillips had a bye. New Orleans cornerback Paulson Adebo (knee) and offensive guard Andrus Peat (pec), and Carolina defensive end Henry Anderson (illness) were inactive. Seattle receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, L.A. Chargers offensive tackle Foster Sarell, Atlanta tight end Tucker Fisk, and Cincinnati receiver Trenton Irwin were on practice squads. Dallas receiver Simi Fehoko and New England running back Ty Montgomery were on injured reserve.
