STANFORD, Calif. - No. 2 Stanford received goals from 14 different players, overwhelming No. 20 San Jose State 22-1 on Sunday afternoon in the final match of the regular season at Avery Aquatic Center.

Stanford (17-1, 4-1 MPSF) dominated offensively throughout the match, limiting San Jose State (12-17, 0-5 MPSF) to one goal in the first period and bouncing back from last weekend's 17-12 loss at USC, which snapped a 16-game win streak to open the season.

The Cardinal remained perfect in six home matches and capped a memorable Senior Day for its class of Floranne Carroll, Hannah Constandse, Aria Fischer, Katie Lyons, Lexi Rowell and Sophie Wallace. All six players were members of the Cardinal's 2022 NCAA title team while Fischer departs The Farm with two championship rings, having also won it all in 2019. Since its first season together in 2020, the senior class has compiled a 70-10 overall record and 18-6 MPSF record.

Jenna Flynn scored a game-high four goals on five shots while Constandse, Fischer, Christina Hicks and Ryann Neushul each produced multi-goal performances. Fischer led the way with four assists.

Stanford scored at least four goals in every quarter, highlighted by an eight-goal outburst in the second period to help build a 13-1 halftime lead.

Sophia Sanders found the cage with 4:09 remaining in the fourth quarter, marking the fifth time this season the Cardinal reached the 20-goal mark.

The Cardinal's defense continued its strong play, allowing fewer than 10 goals for the 15th time this season while holding its opponent scoreless for at least an eight-minute stretch for the 10th time in 18 games.

Maya Avital played the first three periods in goal and made five saves. Jackie King covered the final eight minutes and finished with two stops.

Stanford closes out the regular season next Saturday, April 22, at California at 12 p.m. The Cardinal, which has won 12 of the last 13 meetings in the rivalry series since 2018, is looking to defeat the Golden Bears four times in a season for the first time since 2014.
