FOLSOM, Calif. - No. 4 Stanford took first place in the varsity eight and varsity four races and second in the varsity two grand finals at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships on Sunday on Lake Natoma.
The Cardinal kicked off the day with a first place finish in the varsity eight, going 6:44.276, beating the University of San Diego by a close .909 margin. The varsity four followed up with a win by 4.36 seconds, going 7:44.945.
The varsity two boat wrapped up the championships with a second place finish, going 8:42.05, beating third place by 11.582 seconds.
Stanford is back out on the water for the Boston University Dual on Saturday, May 6.
