INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Caroline Bricker and Torri Huske headline a group of four Cardinal swimmers who qualified for the 2025 World Aquatics Swimming Championships in Singapore later this summer, following the 2025 Toyota National Championships held June 3–7.
Bricker wasted no time earning her roster spot for Singapore, opening up the five-day event with a lifetime-best 2:05.80 in the 200 fly final to win the U.S. title. The sophomore made a late charge with a 33.20 final split to punch her ticket to her first career World Championships. Bricker narrowly missed out on qualifying for a second event later in the week, finishing third in the 200 IM final with a time of 2:10.12.
Huske also raced to a national title on night one with a 52.43 in the 100 free final, touching first with the fastest-ever 100 free time on American soil to qualify for her third career Worlds. Huske later posted a career-best 23.98 in the 50 free as well as a 56.61 in the 100 fly to earn runner-up finishes in both events, while also securing a 4x200 free relay spot with a third-place 1:55.71 in the 200 free to push her World Championship event total to four.
Set to join Bricker and Huske in Singapore this summer were Stanford alums Katie Ledecky and Simone Manuel, who also earned Team USA roster spots in Indianapolis.
Ledecky added three U.S. titles throughout the week, winning in the 400 free (3:58.56), 800 free (8:05.76), and 1500 free (15:36.76). The Cardinal graduate also finished second in the 200 free (1:55.26), but ultimately elected to forfeit her spot in the event to Huske.
Manuel qualified for the World Championships by securing a 4x100 free relay spot, finishing third in the 100 free final with a 52.83.
Following the meet, USA Swimming finalized National Team selections based on results at the 2025 Toyota National Championships. However, events are subject to change as athletes determine their competition schedules.
