Liv Martin and Nadine Brenninkmeyer each bagged a brace while Daisy Ford and Kendall Dowd combined for a shutout as the Stanford Field Hockey team downed Ball State, 6-0, from Varsity Field Hockey Turf on Thursday afternoon.

“We have been building so much of our forward momentum and the bravery and risk that individuals are taking to get up in the circle is exactly what we want to see,” said Ellis. “It also has to feel good for them and seeing the work they’ve put in pay off has to feel good.”

Playing on the road for the first time this season, No. 1 Stanford rolled past No. 6 USC 5-1 behind a brace from sophomore Eleanor Klinger on Thursday night from Rawlinson Stadium.

The Cardinal scored the first three goals on the night, with the opener coming from redshirt senior captain Andrea Kitahata in the 25th minute. Working off the left side of the Cardinal attack, Kitahata pounced on a loose ball at the top of the 18 and fired a right-footed shot into the far top corner of the frame for her third goal of the season.

The No. 4 Cardinal moved to 3-0 on the season today, picking up a pair of wins at the Aggie Invitational. Stanford topped No. 10 UC Davis 12-6 for the team’s first top-10 win of the season, then followed it up with a 22-10 win against American River College in the afternoon.

Seven members of the Card posted multi-goal games, including first-career goals from freshmen Ben Oerlemans and Collin Caras.

The Card took down American River in the afternoon game. Freshman Simone De Vecchis led the way with his first career goal, finishing with four scores and two assists. Zervoudakis kept his big day going, scoring four goals as well and earning an assist.

The Cardinal is on the road again next weekend, heading to southern California for a Friday game against No. 18 UCSB in Thousand Oaks, before continuing on to play No. 13 UCSD in La Jolla.

Stanford Women's Basketball reveals 2025-26 Acc schedule

    

A mid-December home game against Cal kicks off Stanford’s 2025-26 ACC schedule, which the conference announced in full on Tuesday.

Stanford returns 10 letterwinners to the squad, including All-ACC second team selection Nunu Agara, the team’s leading scorer and rebounder from a season ago. Joining Agara and the Cardinal are five standout freshmen that comprise the nation’s third-ranked recruiting class in McDonald’s All-Americans Hailee SwainLara Somfai and Alexandra Eschmeyer, along with four-star talents Nora Ezike and Carly Amborn.

Paul A. Violich Director of Softball Jessica Allister announced a pair of changes for the Cardinal coaching staff today. Jolene Henderson will be joining the program as an assistant coach, while Sara Groenewegen will transition from her assistant coach position to Director of Softball Recruiting and Technology.

“I am incredibly grateful for Stanford’s continued investment in our softball program,” said Paul A. Violich Director of Softball Jessica Allister. “This move for Sara and the addition of Jolene position our program well as we continue our quest to bring Stanford Softball’s first national championship back to The Farm.”
