Stanford heads out to the East Coast for the first time this season having opened its 2026 slate a week ago, dispatching the UC Davis Aggies, 23-7, last Saturday in Davis, Calif. Stanford, which never trailed in the game, blitzed the Aggies in the second quarter, turning a 2-1 advantage through 15 minutes into a 12-1 lead heading into the halftime break. On the strength of 11 different goal-scorers, Stanford put away any chance of a comeback with its offensive prowess, outscoring the Aggies 11-6 in the second half, while the Stanford defense caused five turnovers on the day for UC Davis, including two shot clock violations.
Four players recorded a hat trick in the win over the Aggies including Preseason All-ACC honoree Aliya Polisky, who opened the scoring for Stanford just 43 seconds into the contest. Joining Polisky on the hat trick party included sophomores Martha Oakey and Lexi Rodell, along with senior Rylee Bouvier. Stanford’s four hat tricks on Saturday is the most for the Cardinal since last season when Stanford had five separate players record a hat trick in a 23-4 in over Louisville (3/14/25). Stanford’s 11 goal-scorers against the Aggies is also the most since the Cardinal earned a 21-8 win over UC Davis on April 20, 2024 when 11 different players recorded a goal.

Stanford’s No. 4 ranking is the third time the Cardinal has been ranked No. 4 in any poll and the second time in the IWLCA Poll after the Cardinal earned the No. 4 rank during the week of March 24, 2025.
