STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford cross country is back in action for its first postseason run this weekend, heading out to Blacksburg, Va., for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Cross Country Championships on Friday, October 30.

The meet starts with the men’s eight-kilometer championship race at 10:10 a.m. ET / 7:10 a.m. PT while the women’s six-kilometer championship follows at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT at Virginia Tech’s Buford Meredith Cross Country Course.

Live results for Friday’s meet can be found here.

The Cardinal heads back to the starting line having completed the regular season down the road in Sunnyvale, Calif., for the Bronco Invitational. Several harriers earned personal-bests during the meet with Marshall Vernon leading the Cardinal men while Amelia Everett served as the Stanford’s No. 1 on the women’s side.

Prior to the Bronco Invitational, Stanford raced well at Wisconsin’s annual Nuttycombe Invitational, earning top-12 outings for both squads. On the men’s side, James Dargan’s 25th-place finish forwarded the Cardinal into eighth overall as a team while Stanford’s five harriers on the women’s side included a pair of top-50 finishes with Julia Flynn and Amaya Bharadwaj placing 27th and 43rd, respectively.

Stanford returns to the ACC Championships for its third crack at a conference title. Stanford’s highest finish at the ACC Championships came in its maiden race in 2024 as both the Cardinal men and women ran second. Last season, Stanford placed high with the Cardinal women earning fourth place including a seventh-place finish by Sophia Kennedy. On the men’s side, Leo Young grabbed a fifth-place outing to bolster the Cardinal men to seventh.
