Personal

• Son of Joseph and Lourdes Sanders
• Father played football at Central Washington and the Rocky Mountain Thunder (indoor professional football team)
• Father also served in the Air Force for 20 years and taught at the Academy
• Mother played racquetball at University of Northern Colorado and was on the Mexican National Team
• Mother medaled in the Pan-American Games for racquetball in 1995
• Has two younger siblings, Jasmine and Josiah
• Uncle, Jomaine Sanders, played football at Northwestern State
• Involved with non-profit organization Undivided, a non-profit focused on strengthening communities and helping community members create positive change in their spheres of influence
• Served as a volunteer at several Fellowship of Christian Athletes summer camps and led a bible study at the Academy for classmates
• Has flown in the backseat of a fighter jet in Misawa, Japan as part of an Air Force Academy program
