Home Opener at Redwood Shores

- Stanford rowing opens its home racing schedule Saturday, welcoming California and UC Irvine to Redwood Shores on Saturday. The Cardinal will line up against the Golden Bears at 9 a.m. and the Anteaters at 10 a.m. 
- The team will lineup as follows: Coxswain: Grace Kelly, 8: Schuyler Hyde, 7: Elly Mackay, 6: Julia Veith, 5: Fiona Mooney, 4: Natalie Clemans, 3: Kelly Garvey, 2: Lily Moore, 1: Sonia Gnatowska
- The Cardinal opened its season in San Diego, winning the competition for the Cal Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic March 26-27. Stanford's time in prelims of 6:55.680 topped 13 other collegiate programs including 2021 NCAA Championships competitor Gonzaga. The Cardinal continued its success on the water in the Grand Final Sunday, finishing with a time of 6:42.827, 13 seconds better than its prelims mark.
- The 2021-22 squad has raced one other time during this school year, winning the title in the women's championship eight division at the Head of the Charles Regatta, Oct. 24.
- Stanford returns to the competition scene after successful 2021 season, that culminated with a second-place finish at the NCAA Championships (decided by a tiebreaker), the best effort by the Cardinal program since finishing second at the 2011 Championships.
