REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – No. 2 Stanford took on No. 6 Wisconsin Saturday morning at Redwood Shores, topping the Badgers' varsity eight while falling to its competitor's varsity four and varsity 2x boats.
The Cardinal began the day racing its varsity eight, recording a strong finishing time of 6:49.80. With its efforts, Stanford marked a 7.5-second margin of victory over the Badgers. The Cardinal then took its varsity four to the waters against Wisconsin, crossing the finish line with a time of 8:05.30. In the final race of the day, Stanford's varsity 2x boat raced for the second time this season and bettered its racing time by five seconds.
Stanford wrapped up its regular-season races on Saturday. The Cardinal now preps for the WIRA Championships, scheduled for April 30-May 1 in Folsom, Calif.
