COLUMBUS, Ohio - Stanford finished first overall at the Jessica Beck Invitational this weekend, taking the top spot over reigning collegiate champion Ohio State. The Cardinal finished with 92 points, ahead of the Buckeyes' 73 and Michigan's 44.

"In our third consecutive week of competition, the team continued to rise to the challenge of swimming in the new scoring system," said head coach Megan Abarca.  After learning tremendously from each of our previous outings, we're excited to spend the next 10 days polishing our routines for the MPSF Championships!"

All events at the Jessica Beck invitational took place on Saturday and not including technical competitions. The meet began with the solo, followed by the duet, trio, and then team competitions.

Stanford was dominant throughout, earning event titles in each event it swam in. The Cardinal opted not to compete in the solo while focusing on the remaining three events.

In the duet, Yara Elian and Ella Rau scored 243.9916 points to pace the field and claim the event title. Close behind was the pair of Miko Begossi and Ivy Davis, only 10.7499 points behind the leaders.

The trio event saw two more Stanford teams claim the top spots of the podium. Miko Begossi, Emmanuella Tchakmakjian, and Ivy Davis earned gold, recording a 298.0959.

Elisa Brunel, Lindi Schroeder, and Yara Elian were behind just 6.7709 points, taking silver.

Stanford's second-place team of Yujin Chang, Emily Ding, Natalie Greenfield, Atira O'Neil, Manu Pindi, and Cambell McMillan combined to record a 324.5792, 54.8042 behind the leading Stanford squad.
